Best In Class: Top Champagnes Coming In 2011

In today’s highly competitive commercial climate, the choice of quality champagne on offer in the market-place is nothing less than astounding in its diversity – both in regard to price and flavour; so, with that in mind, how does the connoisseur rate one above all others? That’s where FINE Champagne magazine come in. Here is their November 2010 press release, or read on for a brief summary of what they consider to be leading the way:

Coming in at number ten was Chartogne-Taillet Fiacre NV 92p, swiftly followed by Veuve Clicquot Vintage 2002 92p in nine and De Saint Gall Grand Cru Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs NV 92p in eighth place. Making up seven and six are Dom Perignon 2002 92p and Ruinart Dom Ruinart Rose 1996 93p. Finally, FINE consider Louis Roederer Cristal Rose 2002 93p worthy of fifth place, narrowly pipped to the post by Charles Heidsieck Vintage 2000 93p. For the top three places and more information please see the above press release.
