Wedding Tips
When it comes to weddings, even those with a good understanding of champagne can find themselves struggling; with so many questions suddenly rearing their ugly heads – how much to order and which, the list is almost infinite… – it’s much more than just a case of organization. Quite simply, where a wedding is concerned, ordering champagne is nothing less than an art.
Here are 2 big tips:
1) You can’t please everyone. As much as you want your guests to have a fantastic time, ordering lots of varieties of bubbly will only create organized confusion. It’s better to order several sure winners, so work to the following rule and you shouldn’t go far wrong: one quality brand for toasting, one for the rest of the day that will – as is crucial – work well with both your choice of food and also for the evening.
2) Quantity: don’t loose sight of how much to order! Plan for two / three glasses per guest and always be sure to ask a champagne dealer questions if you are unsure. Unbeknownst to many, cheaper bottles can taste just as good as more expensive vintages, so don’t get ripped off!
